What is Tock and why can’t I just make a booking over the phone?

We are a small team intent on creating a world-class and captivating experience for our guests. Making the reservations system more efficient allows us to focus on providing the highest level of service and dining possible.​

Why do I get charged when adding a credit card?

Adding a credit card may require a small test charge to validate your account. This charge will be immediately refunded once your account is verified.

Can I get a refund once purchased? Can I exchange my ticket for a different night?

Just like a sporting event, concert or theater ticket all sales are final and no refunds are issued. If however a reservation absolutely must be cancelled or changed due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or change of date may be given but will be at the discretion of management. However, your ticket is completely transferable. To transfer a ticket, go to the “My Account” area of Tock and, using the upper right navigation pane, select “Your Tickets”. Each ticket has a transfer button next to it, that enables you to put it in another person’s name.

Can I decide which menu I want once I arrive?

Our tasting menu is only available to those who make a reservation in advance, as it takes our chefs some time to prepare your experience. If you’re unsure about which menu is right for your occasion, please call us on 03 9690 0185 and we’ll guide you.

Why add a gratuity automatically?

Part of the beauty of a ticketing system is that you pay in advance, and don’t have to stick around to pay the bill once you’ve finished your meal. We don’t like your experience to feel like a transaction; we want it to be an enjoyable, unforgettable experience.​

Unusually for restaurants, 100% of the gratuity you pay is pooled between the front and back of house staff. This charge not only enables us to create the best possible working environment for our valued employees, it reflects the passion and dedication they put into their work each day.

Do I have to order beverages in advance?

If you are making a reservation for our Tasting Menu, you can order your beverage match in advance, or leave this decision until you arrive at the restaurant. If you’d prefer to decide on the day, please choose “i’ll decide later…” at the supplements page. We have an extensive and eclectic selections of wines, beers, cocktails, and fine spirits.
